教师介绍   Teacher's Bio

 

黄慧芳老师从小热爱读书，擅长英文写作。她在2017年和2018年参加了Yahara Rivers写作比赛，都取得了很优秀的成绩(其中2017年拿到了写作比赛的第一名)。2017年暑期在印度尼西亚主持写作研讨会时，她萌发了对教学的兴趣。在雅加达的小学里，跟六年级的学生办了一个英文写作活动，她和学生们讨论美国和印尼学校的生活，交流得很愉快，很有成就感！

 

Elfin Wiriyan is an avid reader since she was a young child and loves to write. She participated in Yahara River Writers Anthology Project held by Greater Dane County Advanced Learner Network in 2017 and 2018; she won first place for 6th grade short stories in 2017, and placed top ten for 7th grade short stories in 2018. In the summer of 2017, she held a writing workshop with the 6th graders at an elementary school in Jakarta, Indonesia. During the workshop, she not only taught the students some writing tips and techniques, but also exchanged stories on the elementary school experience in the U.S. versus Indonesia. She really enjoyed working with the students just as the students were interested and responsive. Her interests in teaching grew after that experience.

 

2018年9月开始，黄慧芳老师积极地参与到童心艺术中文学校的工作中，担任英文读写班的教师。黄老师不仅英文特别优秀，中文也非常流利，可以与不同的学生家长用英文或中文很好地沟通交流。

 

In Septemper 2018, Elfin joined Madison Fine Arts Chinese School as the instructor for the English Reading and Writing class. Elfin is well-versed in English, and she can speak Chinese and can communicate with parents in either language.
